2. Definitions
In this Order, unless there is anything repugnant in the subject or context,—
(i)
"candidate" means a person proposed as a candidate for, or seeking, election as a member;
(ii)
"Commission" means the Election Commission for Bangladesh constituted under Article 118 of the Constitution;
(iii)
"constituency" means a territorial constituency delimited for the purpose of election of members;
(iv)
"election" means an election to fill a seat or seats in Parliament;
(v)
"elector", in relation to a constituency, means a person whose name is entered in the electoral roll for that constituency;
(vi)
"polling station" means the place fixed under this Order for the taking of the poll.
